Naomi Kawase's retrospective brings back 'Suzaku', her first fiction feature film, with an in-person presentation. In a remote village in the Japanese mountains, marked by depopulation, Kozo struggles daily to support his family. Shot with non-professional actors, the film made Kawase the youngest filmmaker to receive the Caméra d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival.
