"Nawi: Dear Future Me," directed by Toby Schmutzler, Kevin Schmutzler, Apuu Mourine, and Vallentine Chelluget, comes to Corral del Carbón as part of Llaves del Sur. Based on a winning story from a Kenyan literary competition, it tells the story of a young woman who dreams of going to high school while her father plans to marry her off to a stranger, and who finds support in her brother to resist a child marriage imposed by tradition.
