From Higashino Keigo's novel, three delinquents break into an abandoned store where anyone can leave a letter seeking advice. Their arrival triggers the store to connect with the past, as old letters slip through the mailbox. Do these letters cross time to reach them? The three have no idea, but they answer anyway. As they do, the store's secret is revealed, along with their connection to it, and the three, who have been so self-absorbed for so long, feel connected to these strangers. Having helped so many before, will the store now help produce one last miracle?

Ryuichi Hiroki is a Japanese film director born in 1954 in Fukushima Prefecture. He is known for his intimate and realistic style, focusing on human relationships, sexuality, loneliness, and the emotional lives of contemporary urban characters. He began his career in the film industry, initially working in television and Japanese adult films (pinku eiga), a genre that has served as a training ground for several filmmakers in Japan. Over time, Hiroki evolved towards independent and auteur cinema, where he developed a more personal and recognized voice. One of his most notable works is Vibrator (2003), a film that received critical acclaim for its sensitive treatment of alienation and desire. He has also directed other important works such as It's Only Talk (2005), Kabukicho Love Hotel (2014), and April Bride (2009), establishing himself with over a hundred titles as a director who explores the emotional vulnerability of his characters with a very human approach.
