Twenty years ago, Siamak was a medical student who was expelled from university and imprisoned for his political activities. However, his life was not only disrupted professionally but also emotionally. Now a bus driver, Siamak laments the future that could not be and makes a series of resolutions before leaving the world, on his fortieth birthday. Iranian director Behnam Behzadi shows us with his film that, when we are immersed in the fog, appearances rarely correspond with reality.

Behnam Behzadi
Born in Boroujen, Iran, in 1976. He graduated from the Seda va Cima Film School in Tehran in 1995. He began his artistic activities in theater and photography, and directed several short films. In recent years, he has worked as an editor and written numerous screenplays, notably co-writing Bahman Ghobadi's Half Moon. Behzadi has also undertaken projects in marketing and advertising, as well as artistic direction for a campaign against child abuse. Before the Burial marks his feature film directorial debut.
